Team75 driver Daniel Gregor with AVIA W&S Motorsport in the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Lausitzring

Victory, pole, out

After the ADAC GT4 Germany race weekend at the Lausitzring, Team75 driver Daniel Gregor can point to an extremely strong, but at the same time somewhat disappointing result. The 17-year-old from Maikammer, who starts for the AVIA W&S Motorsport team but is still looked after by Team75 Motorsport from Landstuhl, won Saturday's race together with his teammate Finn Zulauf in his Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The duo also shone with second place in qualifying on Saturday and pole position on Sunday. Sunday's race, on the other hand, ended prematurely after a collision.
In Saturday's qualifying, Daniel fought his way into the second-best time, only three-thousandths of a second off pole position, and secured a front-row grid position. In the race, he was able to defend second place with a strong drive up to the mandatory pit stop and handed it over to teammate Finn Zulauf. After tough duels, he was able to make up one position and thus secure the first win of the season for the youngster duo.
Finn continued this trend in Sunday qualifying and secured the first pole position of the season for the number 75 Porsche with first place had to give up in the pits with a damaged car. Daniel was no longer used.

Daniel Gregor: "Mixed feelings at the end. If you had asked me yesterday, I would have said it's one of my best race weekends ever, but today... Victory in Saturday's race was of course sensational. We were able to demonstrate that we can drive up front. With pole on Sunday, we then had the excellent prerequisites to finish on the podium again today. We were then clearly in front for a quarter of an hour and had a good pace despite the 20 kilograms of success on Saturday. Unfortunately, the second-placed man then started in a very optimistic maneuver and hit us at the back. Unfortunately, we had to give up with the damaged car. It's a pity, but we're taking the positives from the weekend with us: We have strong pace and will attack again at the Sachsenring.”
